    Just brewed this on Sunday. My OG came in a bit higher but who’s complaining. Fermenting w/Imperial A62 (Bells House Yeast). It smells amazing. Can’t wait to try.

    FWIW I’m 2 yrs in using the DuoTight/EvaBarrier combination. Never had any issues.

    Don’t be afraid of the trub into the fermenter. I always dump everything into fermenter. Nice and clear after cold crash and gelatin.

    I typically do full volume mash and squeeze the bag like it owes me money. Typically hit 78%-82% mash efficiency.

    My final thoughts on Lutra... Meant to post this last week but life got busy. My blond ale turned out beautifully. Clear, clean, and quick. No doubt it could have gone grain to glass in 10 days. Took me 14 as I had to wait for a keg. I didn’t get any tart taste as others have mentioned...

    Hey Folks. I‘m still kind of new to BeerSmith. I’m working on a cream ale receipt. Using distilled water water as my water profile which target profile would be best for a cream ale?

    Its just how I roll... Never had any issues with oxidation/infection. Have always had good results.

    So here’s the results after 48 hrs. OG 1.050. It’s just a simple blond ale. Has a pretty clean taste considering it’s only been 48 hrs. Airlock still bubbling every 10-15 seconds. Gonna give it another day or so before raking to secondary. So far pretty promising

    This stuff is incredible. Pitched at 90° at 5:00 this evening. By 11:00 fermenting at 83°. Had 2+ inches of krausen and the air lock was bubbling non stop.

    What came in the mail for you today?

    Nothing... Dang black holes at USPS facilities keep sucking in my shipments. Waiting on a pack of Lutra from AIH that’s been stuck in Ann Arbor since last Friday and an assortment of Duotight fittings from MoreBeer. Had plans for brew day this weekend. Ugh... Just hope the Lutra is ok.
