    Anyone else experienced this smell? I just brewed an IPA and got the same smell.

    That's what I thought too. And it's been just sitting at room temperature. I've been opening a bottle every day.

    The cider has been in the bottle for 7 days so far with very little carbonation. I thought it should be carb fully by now. Is it because I let it ferment all the way down to 1.005? I used 2 cups brown sugar, 2 tsp cinnamon and 4 frozen apple concentrate.

    Followed the recipe with 10 days in fermenter at 65° now. OG is 1.064 and FG is 1.010 - ABV 7.1%. Going to transfer to secondary at day 14. The sample tasted pretty good already.

    Easy Stove-Top Pasteurizing - With Pics

    Yikes. Reading all these stories kinda scares me. I might leave them in a hot water in bathtub first then move them into spike water on the stove.
