Thanks for the tips, everyone. I was planning to do either a pale ale or a brown ale for my first kit as those are my two favorite types of beer. Temperature control is tough in south Florida so I'm not sure how easy it's going to be to keep the temp of the primary at 60-65 unless I keep the...
Thanks. This is what I was referencing with the 20 minute boil kits:

Edit-For some reason that link doesn't take you to the proper site when I click it but, if you go to the "brewing ingredients"...
I joined this site a few years ago with the intention of brewing a decent amount of beer. Shortly after purchasing my brewing equipment kit, I made a batch of Apfelwein. Unfortunately, things never quite worked out for my brewing desires due to unforseen circumstances in other parts of my life...
Awesome. About a month or so longer than mine so that bodes well for my batch. I really need to get this stuff bottled, too, because some of my co-workers have been pestering me since late June for their bottles.
That's the thing that made me think the 7 months it's been in there may not be too big of a deal. I remembered reading in Ed's thread that it can be bottled after a month but that an extra month or so would make for a better drink.
Very good to know. As soon as the bottles get here, I'll sanitize the bottling bucket, test the Apfelwein, and hopefully bottle. I'll be sure to post an update here on the progress.
I made a batch of Apfelwein with my wife during the last week of April. We planned on bottling it after letting it ferment for two months. However, I ended up getting a 2nd job around that time so it had to go on the back-burner for a little while. Long story short, it's still not bottled:(...
I was playing the community written 1 vs 100 show tonight on XBOX Live tonight and question 36 of 37 was one that had to be posted by a fellow homebrewer. I don't remember the question verbatim but it was something along the lines of:
"What beer is created by a bottom feeding yeast?"...
You got me. I saw the thread title and immediately thought "wtf?". Then I started reading and began to wonder what dad would actually do this. You're good, you.
Ok, cool. I'm pretty sure they won't since they flat out told me to get the word out about the place and try to get people interested. It's not any different than if I told someone who came into the store itself about a deal that may be coming up soon.
It's the following brands:
Movado
Concord
Ebel
ESQ
Hugo Boss
Lacoste
Coach
Juicy Couture
Tommy Hilfiger
I do like Citizen's myself, but we don't sell them.
