2nd All Grain Recipe help (IPA hopefully)

Yeah me too. Ha! Now I need a bigger fermentation chamber and kettle. Its time to move to 10 gallon batches. That was my 4th beer (third drinkable) and 2nd all grain of my own recipe.... Love this hobby. And thankfully my fiance can't get enough of it and is begging me to buy bigger...

2nd All Grain Recipe help (IPA hopefully)

Holy smokes... This beer is amazing. Super citrus flavor and aroma. Floral notes. Earthy undertones excellent head till the last drop. Sorry to toot my own horn but this recipe is one I'll be coming in to perfect and duplicate. If you want a nice easy drinking ipa that hop heads and first...

    Kosher salt?

    hop oil? infection?

Yeah. The yeast looks like that in the sides on most so far (that was my 4th beer). The oily residue didn't look like that until I dry hopped it and the hops settled, but I'm sure yours will be fine. Just give it a taste when you check SG and you'll know...

    hop oil? infection?

Yeah. I think the yeast raft stuck to a few pieces of hops plus the hop oils and made it look odd... First all grain ipa of own recipe looks like a success so far!

    hop oil? infection?

Yep. No infection. Tasted super lemon orangy with all the citra. Wohoo!

    hop oil? infection?

Haven't tasted yet. This is an ipa and had some high alpha hops and 1.5,oz dry hopped of citra. Its not bubbly like lacto. Anything to worry about? Kegging anyways today

    first time dry hopping

Nope. Just don't rub them on the floor or stick m in your mouth before putting in the carboy:). I'm about to do my first dry hopping too but there are a bunch of threads on here that talk about it... They are antibacterial themselves so you don't need to steralize hops

    Super thick Krausen

Thanks for all the replies. I wasn't really worried (as I stated in the original post) but just must wanted to make sure

another hops in TX thread, Pearland TX

Galveston brewer here... When did ownership change? I like that brewers guild is small and quaint, but I have been making the trip to defalcos for a few reasons... As far as on topic... What types of hops do better in the heat and humidity here? How mong does it take from planting to...

    Super thick Krausen

Very cool... Im pretty patient, but at the same point I just kicked my first batch in the kegerator...Looks like I need a bigger (or another) ferm chamber. I also started this batch for the first 4 days at 64*. I did that with my last batch and it was super clean. I just bumped it up to...

    Super thick Krausen

Safale US-05 yeast. This is my attempt at an IPA of my own recipe. It also had 8oz of flaked barley for head retention, so I think that might be why the bubbles are big and thick.
