So I want to go AG... what do i need?

I salvaged two coolers out of my folks garage. Made one for hot liquor.. the other for mashing.. used cpvc to make a manifold.. some refrigerator to make a cooling coil... maybe $100 in for everything. Cleaning vs. Sanitizing

If you know anyone with a bar or restaurant see if you can score some quat off of them... I snagged a 2.5 gallon of concentrated quat to mix up for all my sanitizing needs... easy stuff and lasts forever.

    Props to Northern Brewer

I ordered a starter kit from them and when it arrived my auto siphon was cracked. I called and had a replacement within a few days. Anyone looking to get into brewing should check them out. Quality customer service is so hard to find anymore. Thanks Northern Brewer Shero

    Fermenting Advice

So I just did my first batch. I did a brewer's best kit for imperial nut brown. My starting gravity came in perfect. I put my carboy in the basement to ferment and it went buck wild for a day or two. The temperature really dropped off and now my basement is holding at the low end of ale...
