    What Towels Are You Using?

Listen... I'm learning :ghostly: Last Sunday I DID use a sanitized measuring cup to get my samples into the graduated cylinder. Thank you :mug:

    The Mr. Beer Hate?

Welcome! That's a great book to get started on. One I JUST picked up, as I just got my first all-grain batch under my belt last Sunday, is Designing Great Beers by Ray Daniels. I brewed an Alaskan Amber clone, but came up short on the OG: 1.051, I'll just roll with it and see how it comes out.

    What Towels Are You Using?

Good afternoon! I just had my first all-grain brew day Sunday and I was wishing that I had something more absorbent than my clean red shop rags when I had a spill while racking into my hydrometer. Then it hit me, that I wished I'd had some decent drying towels to dry out my kettle and wort...

New to kegging. What size CO2 cylinder should I get?

Alrighty! I finally got my new 20 lb'r home, and the guy threw in an industrial counter-flow refrigerant condenser... What the hell am I going to do with this thing? It's a Standard Refrigeration Company SCH-12... Should I start building a kegerator with it? Edit: I think it's actually a...

New to kegging. What size CO2 cylinder should I get?

I found a 20 lb'r for $80 with a good hydro test that's got 10 lbs in it still. Picking it up this Friday! I'm excited! Thank you all for your help around this subject. I really do enjoy and love this community, and having been helped directly from it makes it mean so much more to me. Thank you!

New to kegging. What size CO2 cylinder should I get?

I found someone nearby selling 3-20 lb'rs for $200 so I'm seeing if I can snag one for $60-$70! As long as they've been recently hydro tested.

Onwards is the hunt for a used 20 lb. cylinder! Thank you all for your invaluable information, anecdotes, and advice!

What do you mean by "don't offer a title"? Don't tell them you're a homebrewer? Because I feel like whenever you say "homebrew" to any supplier, it's justification for them price gouging.

New to kegging. What size CO2 cylinder should I get?

I had thought part of your reply was an ad for some reason and the full reply did not show until I quoted it and I removed the "ad" part, sorry about that! I plan to share beer from the corny keg I have, but I don't brew very often. I'm certainly not anywhere near pushing 2 kegs a week. By your...

I guess I'm looking for an answer in terms of how long it takes you to deplete your setup with what you've got going on. That'll put me in the ballpark of what I can reasonably expect to run.

New to kegging. What size CO2 cylinder should I get?

As the title states, I am just buying up ball lock corny kegs in my area. I've got two of them and all the gaskets are fantastic and they hold pressure. I bought a set of gaskets to replace them if they didn't. I have a 5 gal. fermenter on deck that'll be ready to keg in a couple of days and...

    Can't contain my excitement!!!

I've been saving for BIAB equipment and buying piecemeal. I can't wait to get started, and every piece of equipment I buy feels more satisfying than the last! Cheers and good luck!

    The Mr. Beer Hate?

Mr. Beer kits got me started in the hobby and I still use it to this day after 6 years. I have wanted to get into AG brewing for years and am recently being able to throw money at the equipment, but having a small 2 gal. kit from Mr. Beer, and having some experience from brewing with some AG...
