I found that when I built my stir plate and was having this problem it wasn't my voltage I had tried anywhere from 3.9 - 12 vdc with a potentiometer. I then thought get my magnets on the fan closer to flask to help make stronger field no work either. Then I lowered my magnets away from the flask...
I have 110 vac fan and tied the power wires into my keezer cooling circuit. So when my keezer is cooling or running my fan is going and mixing the air up. Not sure if this link will work but this like mine.

You might look at the sprecher root beer extract I tried this and was very pleased with the results. It was probably the best root beer extract I have tried It will also require kegging I set mine to 30psi waited a week and boy was it good.

Thanks guys kinda felt that's where I went wrong. Do you think that time will heal on this type infection. I keep reading that wheat beers are better young so not sure where to go from here?
