    Hey Sleep Apnea folks!

It did. It's brand new with "auto" everything. I think I might try to tweak the settings on the temp and humidity although last night was better. I got 5 hours before I woke up with congestion and had to remove it. Thanks for all of the info, I'm not giving up just yet!

    Hey Sleep Apnea folks!

I'm struggling. I first tried the full face mask with no luck. They don't mix well with beards. I'm on to the nasal pillow now but can't stand the chin strap. The first night with the nasal pillow was great. I actually slept 8 hours. Since then I've either battled with nasal congestion due...

    Kayak paddle advice

You're right, I've tried the Cyprus and I can't wait to finally end up with one. They are not cheap, that's for sure. Don't get me started on kayak gear. It's the reason I don't brew enough these days.

    Kayak paddle advice

I use the Aqua-Bound Manta Ray (full carbon) but the fiberglass low angle (Stingray?) is pretty popular and I think it retails for around $100. You can find some pretty good deals on backcountry.com and they usually have free shipping over $50.

    Hey Sleep Apnea folks!

I had an at home study last week and was diagnosed as mild with a score of 10. No telling what my number really is, the test was a nightmare. I didn't sleep for several hours after turning the machine on and I woke with the finger sensor off and the contraption rolled around on my side...

    Making vinegar from beer

I made a Graff recently that I'm not real fond of. Might be an option for salvaging a few of these bottles I have tucked away.

    Kegco pop

I pulled the screws out of the cold plate and haven't heard it since. That was several months ago. One of these days I'll actually replace the screws (with longer screws) and add a nylon or rubber spacer. My kegerator is an Avanti, not Kegco so I don't know how the designs compare but it sure...

    Homemade Bread Thread

Alright, I'm in. My second loaf ever, first in a long time. Sourdough starter up next.

    Adding Coffee to my Porter

I added 4oz to a 2.5gal batch. For my taste, I will probably double that next time and see what that gives. The taste is there but very slight. It's still an experiment in progress.

    Adding Coffee to my Porter

I recently picked up some Cold Brew coffee concentrate at Trader Joe's and added it right to the keg prior to racking a sweet stout. Worked great although I wish I would have added a bit more initially. I still have a good portion of the coffee in the fridge (32 oz bottle) so I've been adding...

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

I'm 3 weeks in, sitting at 1.008 (down from 1.060). Clearing nicely and smells amazing. The sample is fairly tart. I used store brand, 100% juice from concentrate so it sounds like that might explain the tartness. Was going to bottle this one since kegs are full. It's drinkable now but hoping it...

Stupid things that happen to everyone at some point

Yesterday I hooked up a picnic tap to a keg that was already on the gas. Unfortunately, the picnic tap was still open from cleaning and draining. It's amazing how much of a mess a few seconds of free flowing stout can make in the kegerator and on the kitchen floor. My girlfriend came home to...
