    Homebrew Kits Rating

I've tried Festa-Brew which is a wort-in-a-bag kit, you dont even add water - it came out far better than the 2 extract kits I've done (not a good baseline for comparison - sorry extract faithful). It was a red and it was pretty fantastic. http://www.magnotta.com/Festabrew/ Just started...

Thanks, guys. I thought I had it mostly covered. Now to find the rest of the equipment by the time my Edwort's Haus Ale is ready in 1 week...

    Corny... Now What?

Hi All, I was given a corny today (yay!), and have searched the equipment forum, but can't really find any details on what else i need. I know I need the disconnects (where do I purchase - I'm in Canada if anyone has suggestions), CO2 tank and a tap. Is that it? Oh yeah, kegerator/keezer -...

    Do not dump your brew.

I havent dumped any, and my first batch which was an extract kit turned out horrible, mostly flat, but in the end it served a great purpose as snail bait in the garden...

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

Did this one a few days ago and all (visible) activity seemed to cease within a couple days - this sounds like nothing to worry about from previous posts - is it? Also, how much priming sugar should I use for a 5 gallon batch when I go to bottle? Thanks in advance...

    Neighbors calling the cops

Funny, I was thinking the same thing this past Sunday. We just moved to a nice small (but very religious) town and here I am, garage door open, turkey fryer boiling, big stir stick in one hand, glass of beer in the other, wort chiller in the cooler on the floor, mad grin on my face - probably...

    Another Cherry Popped!

Had my first, and very successful AG Brewday this past Sunday. Had done wine for the past decade, but just jumped on the Beer Wagon this year. Started with a few of the 'Wort Kits' and got something partly drinkable out of the Barons kit, the Festa was pretty good after it aged, and then I did...

A label for my first batch.

Gluesticks work awesome too - easy to use, hold well and the label comes off nicely when its time to re-use the bottle.

    wine kits...my oh my

I've been making wine for years (beer virgin until recently), and find that if you buy anything less than a 10L (of juice) kit then it gets iffy. 10L and above and you usually end up with something quite drinkable right after bottling - of course they get better with age (but who can wait?)...

Need help with a Brewery Name.....

The gecko doing the robot is just too classic. Robo-Gecko! Damn - months and months of lurking and I pop my post virginity on Domo-Arigato-Gecko-Roboto. Domo.
