Just thought I'd give an update. its been about 5 weeks now and tastes very good, probably one of my best brews so far

the bigger the tubing the harder it tends to be to bend it. Get the tools for bending tubing and it will make it alot easier to bend without kinking it. getting your coild around a corny keg shouldn't be too hard though

I usually start drinking my brews slowly about a week after I keg, they are very green at that point but I like to follow how it changes over time.

it should assuming you garage gets as cold as it does outside. I know mine doesnt, not alot maybe 5-10 degrees warmer but that might be too warm for the cold crash to work, I've never tried it so I couldn't say for sure.

correct, It just kind of stuck there. I mean it was very minimal amount, mostly just a glaze/dusting on the glass

I have had batches that the side of the carboy that are completely coated and others with nothing on them. I always cold crash and I dont think it made much of a difference as for the coating on the carboy

I brewed a surly bender for easter

I definitely need a tighter crush. Brewed today and got 60% efficiency

honestly I was wondering that but wasnt sure what that would do to the bitterness and aroma from hops

I think i may just solder the hose connectors on like the store bought models and not have to think about it.

So I did my first all grain today, surly bender. everything was going fairly well. I knew my efficiency was going to be low since I was dialing in my new corona mill and about half of it was too coarsely crushed. end up at 60%. boil and all that went fine threw the new diy immersion chiller in...

so i tightened it up a bit i think its about right now. thanks for the quick reply
