I have used it for both beer and cider. It will finish all available sugars and still carbonate in bottles. I recently made my wife a batch of Drunken Emu cider that finished at 12.7% abv. Might have been pushing the limits of the yeast, but it still carbonated after bottling. A champ yeast!
I use it in both my "Grandpa's Garage Hooch" beers. They are based on a 60 year old home brew recipie posted here a few years ago. Dark brown in the original garage hooch and light in the garage hooch APA. Works just fine.
Carrying extra stuff down to the basement after a rainy indoor brewday. Thank god I wasn't carrying the full fermenting bucket with my new batch of black lager. I slipped and landed flat on my a$$ on the stairs. 215# of me, a 5 gal bucket of misc. stuff, and a 6 pack of empties. Luckly the only...
I was a full blown functional alcoholic for a time. For about 2 years, I was going through a 1.75l + a 750ml bottle of rum or vodka every other night. But I cut way down for my future SWMBO. I now only have a beer every couple of days and only drink hard liquor occasionally. I can think much...
Personally, I would cap one side and pressurize with air or co2 while it is submerged in a bucket of water. Molecules are smaller and you would find more leaks. By submerging it, you will know exactly where it is leaking from and how bad.

Exactly. Without glue, the fittings are snug enough to make a seal. If cleaning is required, just break it down and use your bottle brush. Several places acutally sell these setups as a pre-cut kit.
Vodka. Drier than dry. I want a martini dying of thirst. Mixed while looking at a picture of a bottle of vermouth. Shaken, not stirred.

Call me what you will, but I don't like wet or cold. So mine is in the garage for the winter. These were taken while I was building my kegaradio last winter.
2004 Buell XB9SL Lightning Low. The only year I believe that they made this particular bike. They shaved 3/4" out of the suspension and...
You might look into commercial steam jacketed kettles. I have seen a few on Craigslist out here in Seattle. Even heat and no external heat source. The bad thing is that even used, they can get pricy. But it sounds like it is exactly what you are looking for...
I drew a sample this afternoon. I think it's going to be tasty. If you have ever had Full Sail Limited edition lager #6, "Black Bock", it is quite similar to that. The dark roast is quite prevalent, but not overbearing. It should be transferred to lager next week.:D:beer:
