    1 Gal test batch 1# Clover honey 4oz light brown sugar 2oz fresh made strawberry jelly 2 Kiwis cut squeezed and steeped White labs 001 OG- 1.053 Any thought on how you would have changed this????

    Should I be Sparging?

    You can just pour cold water over your grain bag and top up to your boil volume. The idea is to just wash the grains at this point. I guess you could call it sparging,

    partial mash flavor problem

    Depending on how your sparging these grains or at what temp you could be extracting harsh tanins that will give a very bitter taste in some instances. Just a thought.

    yup standard ferment. holding at 67 degrees. gonna give it at least 2 weeks in the primary and then will take a SG. Thanks for the help

    Its pretty gnarly. I have never seen anything like this. I am using WLP099 high gravity.

    I brewed a IIIPA over the weekend. 1 gallon batch. I filtered the wort twice before placing it in the primary. Once in the primary the break material settled out and fermentation took off. Is it possible that the vigorous ferment is stirring up break material and re clouding the beer?
