Because of this thread. I just went to the store and bought a sirloin tip roast and extra lean ground beef to make some jerky tomorrow.....the meat is currently marinating and the dehydrator is patiently waiting to be fired up tomorrow!!!!!

no i didnt make it to any brew pubs in traverse city, i only called them.

i just got back from vacation and stopped by shorts brew pub in bellaire michigan. they had a very nice selection of beers on tap, good food, and great staff. and they also sell there beer to go in growlers and kegs (1/2, 1/4, 1/6, and corny kegs) depending on beer availability. so of course...

i use those exact thermometers for my fish tank and snake enclosure. seem pretty accurate, although i haven't tested its accuracy with ice water. should work just fine, since the probe is waterproof.....thanks for the idea.

if previous offers do not fall through, i am still interested in two of these. i could pick up.

pepsi throwback is great, so was the mountain dew.......it taste so much better with the real sugar, instead of the fructose. to bad it cant be found around my area any more. it was a limited edition. anytime a local store had this it flew off the shelves.

i actually bought one of these for the fiance about a year ago. she absolutely loves the thing. the washable pads are great.

yeah, i realize that now after making this post and researching some things further. i guess it was one of those spur of the moment buys, as it was about $15 cheaper than other 5gal beverage coolers locally. i am sure it will work for something else maybe camping purposes.
