Hey keep posting. I am currently using propane for my heat source. But at -40 it is becoming a PIA. I downloaded Kals pdf. I currently have a HERMS set up. But have been looking at a RIMS set up also. Brewers Hardware has nice TC items. Take a look at Stout Tanks. His looks pretty nice...

Does anyone know the name of the stainless steel protective cover over the wiring? Seeing if I can score that stuff off EBay for wire protection.....

Hey Sils, like you I am starting to pull the trigger on an Electric build. I bought Kals book for ref. Have you been keeping a XLS spreadsheet or something of that nature that shows where you purchased your pieces from? Great build so far. Keep it up.

I use the same element enclosure for my distillation. I am thinking about converting to electric now. Your build makes thing look a little easier. Deff has my attention.

I have thought about this also. I use a 10 gallon round Gott cooler. I installed a thermo well in the middle of the tun. Then also installed on down by my ball valve at the bottom. You will be amazed and the temp differantal between the two. But, the middle thermowell is where I put my temp...

Awesome set up......Now the gears are turning....hhhmmmm.....Think the propane might have to go.
