    I am currently using a natural gas burner to brew with but I have been considering building a few electric keggles for using in my garage this winter. How long on average does it take to bring 13 gallons to boil using a 4500 watt element?

    I had to install a service port on my window ac to recover the refrigerant, weld in ports are best, piercing type will work, but tend to leak over time.

    Will it harm my beer to use a short piece of aluminum tube in my fermenter for a thermowell?

    I think it is because of aphids, there are areas hollowed out at the bottoms of some of the hops.
