thanks for all your help guys. I have a new counter-flow chiller and I am worried about gumming it up with trub and it sounds like with a little rigging a braided steel hose will serve purpose for now.
Has anyone used a Bazooka or similar style screen in their boil kettle with pelleted hops?
The product descriptions mention whole leaf hops only. I assume a higher risk of clogging with pellets, and was wondering if anybody had any first hand experience using the pellets in such a system.

I knew that calculating AA would be damn near impossible. Was just curious as to whether or not there was a general rule. I pretty much drink beer in any shape or form and the idea of an entirely homegrown hop profile may be too much fun to pass up. :mug:
So I recently harvested my first batches of Cascade, Brewers Gold and Sterling hops and as I was vacuum packing my beautiful babies, I realized I was unsure what the conversion rate would be for whole hops from a recipe developed with hop pellets. I find this kinda funny since I've been brewing...
