Do you reuse them or one time brew only?

I know homebrewers use paint strainers for pellet hops and steeping grains. And I was wondering if anyone know if they are food safe or not. Are they cheaper/better than grain/hop bags from homebrew store? 17 cheers:mug:

I tried 1/3 before and it didnt work out for me but 1/2 is perfect. Some people even do 3/4 cup.

Never mind on that. I guess beer wasnt cold enough. Next day it wasnt foaming that much and it was carbonated just fine. Never seen it before. Maybe it happens when keg is primed

That sounds interesting. Less work too. I might give it a try. But what if you use glass carboy(which I do). Little risky to pour hot wort in glass.

I have not tried this. But I guess if you do cut them slots out that surely might work for 2 pin locks. Didnt think about that one.

3/8 is what I got and 20 feet too. Works fine but I also place it in ice bath. Cools 3 gallons to about 80 in 15 mins or so.

Blow off got nothing to do with krausen decreasing. Dont worry about it. Just let it do its thing. But let us know how it turns out in the end. Cheers.

There is really no need to transfer it back to fermenter. As soon as you done with barrel just bottle/keg it and let it age in bottle or keg.
