I know this is a VERY old thread, but being from Georgia myself I'd like to see if any of these members are still around and hear some stories about their hop growing.

Is the fermentation chamber set up to control both heating and cooling?

I'm interested in one of the fermentation chambers if you still have them. I am in Georgia so I could pick it up.

I'm glad I stumbled upon this thread. I am going to be kegging my first brew in a few weeks and I was going to pressurize a glass fermenter. That is out of the question now. Guess I'll have to figure something else out now.

I noticed that Annie's Heirlooms has hop seeds for sale. I can't speak for their hop seeds, never bought any, but I have bought a TON of seeds from them and they are an awesome company. I was thinking of buying some hop seeds for an ornamental garden, far away from my hop garden...

Shouldn't these super early shoots be cut back? I'm no hop expert, but I was under the impression that if hops start growing too early in the season, it will cause them to throw side-arms way too early and they won't produce many cones.

Thanks for the response. I, too, am VERY OCD when it comes to sanitization which is why I am so hesitant to try this. I figured someone here would have an answer. I DO have a keg dedicated to sours. I mean I do now at least.
