Yes but that usually starts x with water then vinegar. Then something cheaper than wine if you don’t have heads and tails to run through.

With that many distillations you won’t have much if any flavor left.

If you are letting everything cool in the still be careful it doesn’t pull vacuum and implode your still.

It’s not going to be palatable if you collected everything on the same container or mixed them afterwards without cutting out the nasty stuff.

Did you check with a multimeter? Probably need to replace it. Or you could drill a hole and put in an element. I don’t think they are replaceable.

I imagine you’d need a special vacuum pump for that.

For me it’s whatever apples I get for free. Lately that’s been green apples of some kind. I always have to add sugar to hit my preferred ABV then I sulfite and sorbate before back sweetening.

I recall reading in another post that starsan has a negative effect the Duotight fittings. It can cause them to fail prematurely. Might have been from soaking. So maybe to be safe use dish soap and water instead to test for leaks.

Is that dispensing only or carbonating too? Are they 5 gallon kegs? I seem to recall an estimate of 1 lbs of CO2 is approximately required to carbonate and dispense a 5 gallon keg.
