the only way i would use that is if it could be taken apart with the screws and check to see if there is any GREESE at the impeller bering and clean & sanitize it first

if that's the case i could make fun of all you 5 gal brewers because my pot is big enough for 12 gal but i wont .

i would use a long piece of tie wire with a small cloth looped and smashed on the end. soak the hose in a bucket of cleaning solution first .

what i do is when the wort is cool i will pour it into the primary then back into the pot , back into primary i do this a few times without any issues i have done it this way for years.

what the feds don't know wont hurt you ---don't get caught.

i start off with 9.5 to get 8 gallons for a 60 min boil
