    PVC Tower Cooling Solution

Luke, Purplehaze & Homebrewforsure... Thank you guys!!! I thrilled to say that I'm a survivor. I've been battling foam for 5 long years, and after a risky kegerator transplant, a double perlick tap bypass and twin copper stints, you three gave me the gift of a perfect pour! Even though so...

    PVC Tower Cooling Solution

Thank you guys for the feedback... all you guys seem to be on the side of the fence I want to get to (the low foam/greener side), so please don't take the following as any sort of argument or disrespect, because I appreciate any knowledge being shared with me... I just want to understand... and...

    PVC Tower Cooling Solution

Can someone see if they can tell where I went wrong? I'm on my third attempt at a copper pipe setup on my new kegerator... and am running out of money and patients on getting a perfect pour every time. I have two pieces of 1/2" copper pipe running up as close as possible to the shank, and as...

Beer Line Length and Pressure Calculator

First off Bearcat, thank you for your efforts in creating this spreadsheet!! Your spreadsheet looks like a solution I need... but I'm afraid I can't figure out how to use it. I'm plugging in the numbers but I'm not exactly sure how to fill out a couple of them... I'd greatly appreciate any...

    Copper tubes in beer tower

How did this work for you? I have a brand new kegerator that works great, but my first glass is half foam. I did copper tubing around my beer lines wrapped in foam. It enters my kegerator and I have a 90 degree bend running 5 inches of copper along the top back towards the compressor plate...

    FLAT Keg

Let’s not P_ _ _ y foot it... I’m an alcoholic... and if I’m going to overindulge, I’d rather it be from something at it’s tastiest... or darn near close to it. I’m not a rich man, but I like to think I make enough to make this a dream that can come to...

    FLAT Keg

I really don’t know... It’s just something I’ve heard from some random beer snob kook.

    1 out of 2 is flat !

I don’t see how you can’t get the height right. can’t you just put it on the height that is just a little too low, and it work? I had that happen to me on two “special” bottles, but it still worked for me. I think THIS is your issue. You should pull the lever...

    1 out of 2 is flat !

Definitely sounds like your capper. I have the same one. Mine has worked great though. I’d demand a refund or new capper. I bet the bell that goes over the bottle is defective. My bottles get stuck inside it after I cap it, and I have to twist it a little to get it out.

    FLAT Keg

Thank you ALL for your input. Some of it was a little confusing, but appreciated none the less. Here is a link to the chart i was using: http://www.homebrew.com/pdfs/CO2chart.pdf Has anyone used this method? I didn’t see any mention of it. What you do is hook the gas line to the black...

    FLAT Keg

My keg is a little flat... I carbonated at 11PSI for 2 days... but now have it at 15... and am going to give it another day. Is it bad to release the pressure valve to purge when the gas is hooked up to the beer line? by that i mean, could that be why my beer is flat, since it bubbles like...

    Foamy keg

I moved my thermometer yesterday. I had it clipped to the wired coming from the temperature control unit, and it was reading 50, now i have moved it to the back where the false back is, and it reads 40. I think I will give the water a try. Thanks for suggestion budman, i’ll see if i can...

    Foamy keg

got a new barb set up to have the same internal diameter... no change... but when i removed the barb completely, AND got a new coupler connector, and bled the CO2 completely, and krept up the psi.... it works now at 4 psi.... Concerned about my temp... I am at 48 degrees in a kegerator (mini...

    Foamy keg

I might try that hose increase... cheap and easy! I have changed the coupler connector, and the double sided barb.... no luck.... I tried the old tap again, and it does give quite a bit of head, but it is MUCH better (not quite acceptable... maybe the keg?), and is carbonated as opposed to flat...
