    Lagering Temp?

I used to love 2206 but something changed during covid and it started to not ferment as well. I need to try it again and see if things are back to the way to were. 2206 was my go to yeast. 835 is pretty good. I'm two batched into a RVA yeast but haven't had a finished product yet (one is...

    Lagering Temp?

Yes, exactly. I was summing it all up using the phrase "process of fermentation" to keep my post a little less technical as I didn't want my point to get buried.

    Lagering Temp?

My house pilsner recipe is loosely based on Bitburger. I've tried 830 before but it isn't my go to yeast. I would personally ferment between 48°F and 50°F. For this, you will need a ton of yeast. For a pitch rate, go for 2.5m/mL/°P. And if you are using a pitch rate/starter calculator...

    My BruControl UniFlex review

It's just an old Microsoft Surface Pro my wife had that she wasn't using anymore. Probably over 8 years old. I went with that because it has touchscreen and BruControl supports touchscreen. Right now I'm not using scripts. It is all manual so the touchscreen is nice. I'll buy a monitor once...

    My BruControl UniFlex review

Early this year I purchased a UniFlex V1 from Pete at BruControl. It has taken me a little while to get it all going with work and family stuff but it is all set up. I wanted to post a little bit about it for those that don’t know what it is and give my opinion about it. Quick little background...

Show me your BruControl graphic interface.

What program did you use to create that? Looks nice!

    SpundIT 2.0 cleaning process?

It is just a spring and bladder. You can unscrew it and clean everything (make sure you note down how you take it apart so you can put it back together the same way).

Calling all Gamer Nerds: Favorite Video Game?

How's the quality on that projector (mind linking it)? I've been looking to do something similar but it seems like those cheaper ones don't have great quality.

Calling all Gamer Nerds: Favorite Video Game?

I've wanted to get the Switch but paying for online play is one of the main reasons I haven't yet. With games being $60, there shouldn't be any additional cost to play online. Luckily I kept most of my old systems. For original consoles I have NES, N64, Xbox, Wii, Wii U and Fat PS3 (though...

Calling all Gamer Nerds: Favorite Video Game?

No I'm on PC using Steam. Though I do have a Xbox One but mostly for Blu-Ray. I was always a console guy until they started charging to play games online. That's when I switched to PC and never looked back. The only consoles I play now are the old ones (NES and SNES mostly).

    DUOTIGHT LEAKS......

Thread tape isn't meant to stop leaks. It is meant to help straight threads tighten enough so they don't leak. More of a lubricant As @day_trippr mentioned, no washer is needed. Hand tighten then give them a slow turn with pliers. If you do it to fast or hard, you can ruin the plastic...

    DUOTIGHT LEAKS......

You can use StarSan, just rinse it after. I push it through the lines then hook up all the kegs and pull beer from each tap. Minimal contact time but enough to sanitize.

    DUOTIGHT LEAKS......

For those that have leaks, do you use StarSan and let it stay in contact with the fittings? People have mentioned that StarSan is not good for this type of plastic and can cause cracks. If you do use StarSan, I wonder if there are small cracks on the inside that you haven't noticed.
