Gambrinus makes a dark Munich at 30L, that may be what you have, its definitely not a crystal malt and needs to be mashed. Its got a really great flavor to it, altho 3.5 lbs in that recipe is a bit excessive tho.

I've always used a 7/8" bi-metal holesaw for my keggle fittings. I've gone through 3/16" thick stainless with hole saws.

So you will be mashing 5-6 lbs of grain in a 5 gallon cooler? No problem, i run 10lbs of grain in my 13 gallon keg mashtun for my 5 gallon experimental batches. I just wouldnt run a full volume sparge through that much grain, might extract tannins and what not.
