    Southern Tier Pumking Clone??

Well mine went into bottles about a week ago and the graham cracker flavor had faded a bit in secondary. So i decided to add an extra 1/2 tsp to the bottling bucket just to get it right. I couldn't wait three weeks to see how they turned out, so last night (after being bottled for a week) I...

    Southern Tier Pumking Clone??

Ok gang, I've been holding off on posting this until I transferred into secondary to see how it tasted. Thursday night, I put a sample of Pumking side by side with my beer for a taste test. My three taste testers couldn't tell the difference. OG: 1.080 FG (when added to secondary): 1.018...

    Southern Tier Pumking Clone??

Probably very stupid question, but when using tincture of soaked vanilla beans, do you: 1) add only the vodka the beans were soaked in to the secondary carboy OR 2) add the vodka and beans to the secondary carboy Thanks in advance!!!

    Yeast Fermentation - Tempature Failure

You're probably right. I was just concerned because the evening before the power outage, the yeast were still going crazy. When I came home the evening of the outage, they were barely moving at all. The recipie said to leave the beer in primary for two weeks, so I still have like 9 days to go...

    Yeast Fermentation - Tempature Failure

Tried a search on this topic with negative results. I brewed a Pumking clone batch on Sunday. OG was 1.080. Pitched yeast and put carboy into Vinotemp wine cooler set to 66 degrees. Yeast started going crazy in 4-5 hours and Co2 bubbling like crazy in the blowoff tube (at a rate of 5-6 bubbles...
