The oetikers are not permanent, they are snug fit on the tube, you can completely dismantle the float for cleaning...
I do however have some feedback that the hose needs to be bigger....as covered in this thread... 1/4" ID and 3/8" OD is optimum
7mm ID and 10mm OD will suffice.
Hey guys I have modified my Mk1 design to Mk2. Its simpler and can work with or without a filter. I prefer without as I run the filter in the primary and rack into serving kegs. The cost is lower as now you only need two washers and two undersized oetiker clamps to hold the float in place.

Mildly salty lager has come up awesome. Had the last bottle of salt real ale...absolutely amazing...the bitterness is matched off by the saltiness to create a great drop...took six months of storage to get there though...

First I collected 19L of RO water. Into which I placed a chunk of Himalaya Pink Rock salt size approx 50mm wide x 30mm tall x 40mm deep. A sizeable chuck. Within a few hours it had dissolved completely.
