This is only my second brew and I was trying a kit DIPA from Brewers Best. I had no issues that I could see during the brew, it tasted awesome before I bottled it, abet it was flat as you would expect. Bottling went fine as far as I could tell, but 14 days after sealing the caps I opened one...

Don't think you are being a jerk at all, point well taken. I am leaning toward either a stout or brown ale...I want to stay simple for the time being but with the kits the direction are pretty cut and dry and I am not sure at what point to add say pumpkin, coffee, or vanilla or how to add...
