    Vanilla Flavor Cream Ale

    Bottled mine a couple of days ago and it smelt good, real strong vanilla taste and smell. I guess in a week I'll see if it turned out like yoors. I added 4 oz's when priming, so I'm hoping that I will still be able to taste the vanilla.

    +1 I have that brew in the secondary right now, as soon as I get a chance before heading up to Washington next week, I would like to bottle it. Maybe take a sixer or two for the friends up there.

    or build a fermentor cooler like i did, I can control temps between 60 and 70 without any problems. Made one for lagers too to keep the fridge space free. just use ice and dry ice for even cooler temps.

    do I need to sanitize the paint stainer bag or pantyhose if they are new? Or would the boiling after the steeping do the job? I will be rinsing the strainer before the grain goes in BTW.

    Well I got everything to brew this morning I thought! I forgot to get a grain bag from the LHBS. Since they are closed today, any good substitutes from the local grocery store or hardware store? Would cheese cloth work?
