Starsan is a sanitizer that you don't need to rinse. I'm on batch 7 With no contamination so I feel it work really well.

Get your self a spray bottle and put some of yor starsan in it. It will be helpful when you rack to secondary.

Lmao, making our own beer has turned us into bums.

I asked my brother inlaw to start saving his bottles for me and in return I will give him beer. In less then a month and a half, him and his friends had about 350 rinsed bottles for me. I owe him some brew.

Got my starter kit from morebeer.com. Came with everything I needed to make and bottle first batch. That and these forums were my only teachers.

Right on guys, I was worried there for a sec. I bought the morebeer 2000ml yeast starter kit. Feels like it's pretty heavy duty.

I just bought a 2000ml flask and boiled some water in it to check it out. Is it common do have some real small pit holes in side the bottom of the flask? There pretty much hard to see, I only saw them when the boiling bubbles were coming out of them. I'm just worried about it cracking on me.

I just hooked up my first keg with co2, also an ipa. I sprayed EVERYWHERE with starsan looking for leaks. I found a small one next to a hose clamp. What I'm getting at is spray everything.

I also fill while my wife caps. She is already crying about wanting a bench capper if she is always going to have to help me. Only if she liked beer.

It's in the hands of the beer gods now. Just make sure you have some starsan or something in you blow off bucket.

I soak my pots over night, work great.

I read somewhere that a guy hung his bag in the keg with some thin stainless steel wire and had the wire out the top of the keg. The keg still sealed just fine and when he was happy with the taste, he just opened the keg, pulled out, and sealed it right back up.

Just tried 2nd batch on Thursday, an Irish red, hella good! Was also a kit. My only teacher on brewing was HBT.
