This is my new favorite beer I've brewed so far.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Just brewed this for the first time. It's been fermenting for 9 days using 1272 yeast at 68F. I dry hopped it tonight and figured it would be done fermenting but it's still at 1.028. OG 1.068 Estimated FG 1.019 Does 1272 tend to take a little longer? Or do you think it's stuck? The sample...

American Wheat Beer Hoppy Session Wheat Beer

2 things were different: 1. The first batch I did was the first batch ever on my new equipment. There's a chance I didn't clean the kettle well enough and maybe there were some machining oils or something left over. 2. The first batch I messed with the water chemistry and pH levels. I could...

American Wheat Beer Hoppy Session Wheat Beer

Just kegged my second batch of this. No idea what I screwed up on the first batch but this one came out great! Very low bitterness but lots of hop flavor. This will definitely be part of the rotation (Here's how my first batch looked. Had a lot of yeast flavor to it even after weeks of...

    Small batches - Carbonator Cap?

I do like that about the carb cap. Makes it so you don't have to drink the whole 2 liter at once

    Small batches - Carbonator Cap?

I'm going to give the Cab cap a shot to see how it works. It would be a nice option to have. now that I have the 2.5 gallon keg I'll definitely be using that for small batches though. But 2L would be good for bringing places you don't want to have to worry about your keg at. or to give to...

    Small batches - Carbonator Cap?

So I bought the Carbonator Cap which should be here today. However, last night my wife said that will look tacky bring to holiday parts and what not so she "talked" me into buying a 2.5 gallon keg and a portable tap and regulator...

    Small batches - Carbonator Cap?

I have a standard kegerator with two taps and two 5 gallon corny kegs. I want to keep those full of "everyday" beer but then be able to make and store small batches for 2 reasons: 1. To easily bring places (Parties, Holidays, or even to the locker room after hockey games) 2. For experimental...

American Wheat Beer Hoppy Session Wheat Beer

Smells great and the initial taste is good but the after taste is throwing me off. I'm hoping it goes away in a few days.

How does it taste? Looks great! I'm a little worried about mine. It's been cold crashing in the keg and force carbing for about 36 hours but is really hazy and has a bad after taste. I can't put my finger on what it is. Hopefully just yeast/hop debris that still needs to crash to the bottom...

Help with Ale Pail "closed" transfer

I like this idea. I didn't think about going from the gas side of the keg to the ale pail. I will try and rig something like this up. I had the keg completely purged of O2, so I think this will work nicely. Thanks!

Not sure this is the correct way, but I've got it set to 30psi right now for 2 days. Then serving pressure will probably be around 10-12. Carbonation is one of the many things I should probably research more.
