    RIMS Diameter

1.5" is what I use. 220volt, 3500 ULWD element. No problems. As with any RIMS system, keep the flow going.

Before I burn the house down; RIMS control

Cant ground a wooden stand. Just make sure you ground the kettles (if they have an element) and RIMS. You'll love the RIMS system once you run a few batches. All setups are have their quirks.

Before I burn the house down; RIMS control

I have a brewhardware RIMS and use the stud inside the electrical connection cover to ground and take back to the box. You could do the same by tack welding or drill and thread a hole and insert a stud. I run mine vertical with the element on the bottom. Stays fully flooded and no scorch...

Propane to all out electric build

Hood is under construction. I've brewed 3 times on it so far over the last two weeks. All three times I was in the 60s so I opened the garage door and turned on a small fan. The BK is right by the garage door, so it rolled right out. Not worried about electronics, but have some sealed LED...

Propane to all out electric build

Ok, so I ran again today. A play on Ed Worts Haus Pale Ale but using Jade hops for middle and late additions. Also will dry hop a small amount before kegging. Ambient was 60 degrees, but I think my keggle MLT still needs a jacket. Closer to temp today. Set at 151 at exit on tube, MLT...

Propane to all out electric build

So you say even though the grain bed is holding at the correct mash temp, I need to more concerned with the temp flowing through the tube. I read the grain bed temp but not as an output control. My worry would be the grain bed temp holding at 144 if I hold the RIMS tube exit at 151.

Propane to all out electric build

Update: First full run tonight. Choose Biermunchers Blonde for simplicity and I did not want to hide any flaws or errors with a big hoppy brew. Was really happy with setup. Things I learned and notes from first run. - Connect BCS direct to computer to avoid router/network failure. -...

Quick questions on what everyone else is doing

I'm working on legs for the IC as I type this. Easy to do. As for full boil loss, Im still trying to get that number but I'm close. I have grain absorption, trub down from old system. I guess I need to brew more to perfect this system.

    First run on RIMS tube

Your control panel reminds me of R2D2 watching over the brew process. Your in good hands.

Quick questions on what everyone else is doing

I'm up and running and with my BCS electric brew system. A couple quick questions to other electric brewers. Things I did not deal with in Propane. #1. I have a 4500w ULD in the BK. During boil, what does everyone run there element at? 100%, 50% ? I am running at 65% once at boil. #2. I...

    eBrewSupply 'coming soon' kits

Still trying to figure out how to have the images change with the process. And then change to the process at hand....

Show us your sculpture or brew rig

Awesome, going to have to rethink the bottom drains and flipped keggles into my design.

    eBrewSupply 'coming soon' kits

And assuming a little, but since he has component kits for pid, he will offer that too. Also in 30amp or 50amp. Assuming.
