I brewed my first AG using BIAB. Brewed a Belgian Tripel....go big or go home. Wort tasted fantastic. I brewed 2/2/13 and it has been in the secondary since 3/2/13. OG was 1.070 and I believe 1.01 into the secondary. She's been bubbling forever. I need to bottle soon but wanted some input on how...
My first AG, used BIAB. It's a Belgian Tripel and I'm super excited about this beer. I had an oh crap this morning...Beer coming through airlock (sanitized water). What do I need to do? It's going to have to sit this way until I get off work today. Just swap out the airlock? Not sure I can make...
Pretty sure I'm just paranoid since a few brews ago I 'caught something'. I wanted expert opinion. See attached pictures....do I have another infection?
I brewed a kit from Midwest called Java Stout but modified slightly. I added 1lb of sugar, 8oz of maltodextrin with other fermentables and...
Thanks everyone for info and laughs. It actually is my 'bottling' bucket and never been used as fermenter. I had wine in that bucket. Fermenters are already on Christmas list ;)
Sucks I have to toss it.....smelled so dang good......at first.
I attached an image....I think.
My first infestation and need advice. It's a 'Holiday Ale' kit. I never saw bubbly in primary (don't know OG cause I forgot to write it down like a tard). I opened the primary about 3 days ago, the 'mold' has gotten considerably worse since then.
Can I...
So after reading the few (yet long and detailed) threads on s'more beer I've taken into account everyone's thoughts and come up with this concoction. Why re-invent the wheel when smarter people before you have already done the hard work ;)
My question is....Can I just steep the oats and malt...
I'd love to post the recipe but I bought a "kit" from the HBS and added my own twists just to see how it turned out. Doing their kit is boring. We added the chips and irish yeast to spice it up. Moving it to secondary today hopefully. I'll let you all know.
Bout to brew a red ale with liquid Irish yeast and medium oak chips. Looking forward to the results. Anyone have ideas on how it'll turn out?
Bottle - Peach Honey Wheat
Bottle - Belgium White
Brew - Red Ale
Really I've just been too busy and out of town on business a great deal. It has been done fermenting, I'm not worried a/b that. I guess it's just been laziness. It is in a bucket. I usually only use the carboy for secondary.
