I started brewing in Jan '10 after taking a class at Brooklyn Kitchen Labs as a christmas gift (best girlfriend ever). I've been doing about one brew a month and making plenty of mistakes along the way. (Steeping grains too hot, adding too much water to a concentrated boil and ending up with 6 gallons instead of 5, letting wort cool overnight because I didn't have a chiller then forgetting it for another day, etc)
Still though, it's too much fun to ever give up. Living in Brooklyn provides a little more room, but I'm looking forward to one day expanding into a basement, garage, or (I wish) brew pub.
