Do i really need an 18 foot trellis

I have 2 20' green treat 6x6 posts 48" in the ground. Spaced about 20' apart with 7 mature crowns. I'm in Iowa and my yields are stupid big! I have to reduce the number of plants next year because the logistics of harvesting so many hops is an impossible task for myself.

    Windsor

I brew with Windsor all the time and it always turns out great. I love the fruityness in milds and browns. I mash low and get great attenuation. Don't know why people dislike it so

Dark Mild Mild Mannered Ale (AG) (E) UK/US

I've made this 6 times now and I love it!! Actually, The batch I'm drinking now is the first time I've made it to recipe. My favorite take on Orfy's mild is brewed with a half and half blend of EKG/Fuggles with Windsor yeast. The fruityness of the Windsor goes well with this beer. Cheers Orfy!

I fear I'm losing Mt. Hood!

First year grower here. My Mt.Hoods are the most vigorous plants in my garden. Willamette's are the second biggest, then Centennial, followed by Nugget.

    Clay heavy soil

My two cents = for clay soils, source some expanded shale. It's a little pricey but if you till a few inches of it and a few inches of compost into your clay, you'll have a nice workable soil that won't drown your roots or get baked into a solid slab by the sun. The shale won't break down over...

    Growing Hops

Same here. I got a copy of my request sent to my email. Did anyone order any male stock?? I wish I had, would have been nice to have one of the USDA selected males for breeding purposes. My inlaws yard would be the perfect place to keep him;)
