The Venting Thread: Let It Out, Folks!

Isn't that basically the same as simple syrup that bartenders use for cocktails?

What came in the mail for you today?

Actually arrived yesterday, but got my Sierra Nevada clone kit. Might be brew day tomorrow.

What came in the mail for you today?

Just got a call from the UPS center for my area, and the address has been changed, and it will be in the mail tomorrow.

What came in the mail for you today?

In my case, it's what didn't come in the mail today, or more accurately UPS. Made a mistake on my delivery address saying that I live on 3rd Ave E instead of the correct 3rd Ave N. Of course, UPS can't figure the difference out and won't let me change it, so I had to contact Northern Brewer...

It might not be what you wanted, but it sounds like it will be enjoyed! Looks great!

Brewing a comedy of errors, but still making beer!

Success! The Comedy of Errors Black IPA is a bit overpressured, but otherwise turned out pretty good! A bit too dangerously tasty, as it's in the 7-8% ABV range. Since I didn't get the initial gravity post-boil, I'm not sure exactly where it is.

What I did for beer today

Tapped my Comedy of Errors Black IPA, and it turned out pretty good. Too much pressure right now, but tastes pretty good!

Brewing a comedy of errors, but still making beer!

Update: checked the gravity, and it was 1.017. That's exactly the final gravity goal, so transferred to keg. It worked! Oh, and sampled the hydrometer test beer. It tasted pretty good! :mug:

What I did for beer today

Checked the gravity of my Comedy of Errors Black IPA, and hit it on the nose. Recipe called for 1.017, and that's where it was. Got it kegged and resting overnight. Will put it in the beer fridge and begin force carbonation tomorrow. Also traded my empty CO2 tank for a full one.

Brewing a comedy of errors, but still making beer!

I'm in Cascade, about 25 miles south of Great Falls. Just ordered a couple more kegs to fill so hopefully I'll be able to have a steady supply of homebrew!
