Been buying in bulk from yakimavalleyhops.com for a while now. They've got pretty decent prices, and have been constantly improving their packaging methods etc.
I would ditch the 15 minute additions and increase the 5 and 0 minute additions (half ounce of each hop variety in each of those additions at least). I've basically done away with middle boil additions lately and think it really showcases the hop aroma/flavor well.
The majority of these crystal-based suggestions are to prevent an overly sweet/high finishing gravity, most often applied to ipa's, as was mentioned before, too much crystal is pretty apparent in an ipa (that is if you are like me and like em bone dry)
I've achieved orange-esque color with crystal 45l, I think the key is to strive for very bright final product, for me this is plentiful recirculation in the mash and a healthy dose of irish moss in the boil as well as cold crashing before kegging
Typically helps to keep F.G. low, I'm partial to it in IPA's, though have certainly found it appealing in pale ale's (though in this case seems counter intuitive to add both simple sugars and wheat)
