I definitely feel you golddiggie on the whole summer heat thing. I live in a loft built in 1905 with no insulation. So when it gets 110 outside i'm suffering inside even with the A/C on. My kitchen gets extremely hot with the gas appliances. That being said, I still would consider the oven...
I will be using corney kegs. I have seen the tap-a-draft and I don't think it will suit my needs. I have a larger CO2 tank from my paint ball days that I'd like to use. Also I can't justify paying someone to make a product when there is a suitable alternative available. Plus I have a personal...
Thanks, this is my exact idea. I wanna be able to keep it in the fridge right beside the milk etc. When I'm aging in the keg, it will be at room temperature. But I like a cold hoppy IPA.
I've searched and I haven't been able to find out the answer. Do many people keg and use their main refrigerator to dispense draft beer? I don't really have room to have another fridge but I do have enough room in my main fridge for a keg. How many do this?
I know sometimes it may be an...

That was not me who recieved the bottles but that is quite a coincidence. Thanks for the heads up on craigslist. I'll check it out later tonight and cross my fingers that they are still available. Once I get a few brews under my belt Id be glad to combine with you. I'm also trying to get some...
Where were you planning on getting your rhizomes from to plant? I actually found out that we have some hops selections on UT's campus and I'm going to see if my plant propagation teacher will let me take some cuttings. Not sure of the variety but I'm sure in a few years it will make some darn...

I wish I knew how you could do that. When you are going to school to do...
picked up a copy of zymurgy yesterday at the hbs and they have a section about using coffee in your mash and even include a recipe for an espresso stout, java porter, and a montezuma's revenge which is a mexican dark lager with coffee. Would be interesting to try.
