    Man, I love Apfelwein

What is it? It's crab apples fermented with JD wood chips... lol We call it applejack! It's wine, but you have taste the oak flavor! It took me nearly 1 year to to get a good clear wine.. I was surprised by how much sediment it made. Two problems... One, it took almost 2 gallons of...

    Crab apple wine?

Crab Apples fermented with Jack Daniels wood chips! (Apple Jack) Of all my wines this was the most impressive wine I have made so far!! The biggest issue I had was it took a lot of racking to turn almost 2 gallons of recipe into a final 3 bottles!!

    habanero in wine problem

My batches of Habanero have around 100 peppers per 3 gallons.. I don't see how heat can effect the alcohol or yeast!

    Yoopers Banana Wine

In September i made a batch from a bunch of marked down bananas at Kroger... I mean it was only around $6.00 to make 3 gallons.. I figured it couldn't hurt.. But everything I read says it could take 2 years to be any good... OMG! As of right now, it's my favorite... Absolutely wonderful taste...

    Watermelon Wine

I did something a little different, and it seems to give the wine more body and flavor... I used a recipe, but instead of just a whole ripe watermelon, I used 3 more pounds of dehydrated watermelon. Which I dehyradated myself.

    First batch (WILD)!

Definitely has the Kousa Dogwood smell, very mild, semi dry, similar to an apple flavor (I think). Definitely would try it again, but also thinking it would be good sweetened with honey! Ph is 3.6 would have preferred a little closer to 3.2.. About 12-14% alcohol! But overall I would give it...

    First batch (WILD)!

My attempt at Kousa Dogwood! It is clarifying nicely, high alcohol content ( warm on lips and going down. Not sure about flavor yet, almost taste more like beer. But I will allow time to see what happens... If nothing else should be a good cooking wine!!
