    Oatmeal Stout Yooper's Oatmeal Stout

Finally got around to brewing this recipe - been on the to brew list for a long time. Nailed the numbers - as per every Yooper recipe. Used a starter of British Ale I. Can't wait to get this on draft for Christmas!

Patersbier - Thoughts on Zymurgy recipe?

I like the idea of skipping right to 147, since I have no direct heat. I'll probably end up going with the NB recipe... I was hoping to hear from someone who had brewed that Zymurgy one to tell me it was the best thing since sliced bread. I always like having a relatively unknown style on...

Patersbier - Thoughts on Zymurgy recipe?

Hey All, I want to give a Patersbier a try in a few weeks to have it to crush in mid summer heat. I am torn between two recipes: This one from Northern Brewer http://www.northernbrewer.com/documentation/allgrain/AG-Patersbier.pdf And this one from Zymurgy...

Beer Pouring Too Fast - Solution?

Thanks Everyone! As per usual, you get the homebrew wheels spinning in my brain. Should renamed the Common to something like "HBT Salvation"

Beer Pouring Too Fast - Solution?

Yep - my lines are 3/16. I think I'll go the way that BigFloyd suggested. and vent it over a few days. Hopefully it calms it down!

Beer Pouring Too Fast - Solution?

Good though but it is running through 11' of line. Does it just need time on a lower pressure to carb back to a normal standard?

Beer Pouring Too Fast - Solution?

Hey HBT Geniuses! I am loving my beers on tap right now. Except for one problem... I jacked up the PSI on my Common to 20 (at 40 f) the other day, and meant to do so for about 24 hours. Forgot about it, and it was on for 48 hours. Now the beer is pouring way too fast, even though I off...

Cold Condition - Engage the Gas

Hey Everyone! I'm going to be brewing a California Common next week, and I plan on cold conditioning it in a corny in my kegerator for 2-3 weeks at 38 f. My question is - can I cold condition my beer while it is on gas and carbing? Or is it best done off the gas? Cheers!!

Set it and forget it - Engage the beer line?

Hey there HBT saviours! Just strapped in my two first homebrewed kegs (best. day. ever.) , and am going with the set it and forget it method. One question... do you engage the beer line when using the set it method? Thanks everyone!

    Saison Shipwrecked Saison

Has anyone experimented with adding citrus zest or coriander to the primary? If so, what were the results and how what kind of quantities? Brewed this a 10 days ago and already at 1.008. Gotta love them yeasties! Can't wait to get this on keg!

    Saison Shipwrecked Saison

Sounds perfect for what I'm looking for - going to serve it on draught for my kegerator debut party! Second on the sparge question: is 168 target sparge mash temp, or sparge strike water temp? Thanks for the recipe!

Autumn Seasonal Beer Thunderstruck Pumpkin Ale (AG and Extract versions)

Two broken thermometers and a stuck sparge later, this brew is happily bubbling away. Have to love that 04 yeast. Started up not 8 hours after pitching. Went to get rice hulls at the LHBS - they didn't have them, or a clue what they did (how?!). Thanks DeFalco's. Cheers Yuri! The family is...
