I mashed at 152 for 90 minutes.

I threw in half an ounce at 60 minutes and continuasly threw in a few pellets through out the rest of the boil. Started with just over 6 gallons and ebded up with 5 in the carboy. I usually get around 71-73% efficiency. Hydrometer was broke so couldn't get a reading.

I had an extra ounce of cluster hops and felt like brewing something up. I went to my local store and grabbed a 10# bag of bohemian pilsner 2 row and a 1# bag of maris otter 2 row. I used safele us 05. I have no idea how to come up with a recipe. Just grabbed some ingredients and brewed it...

Ok, Thanks. I was figuring the opposite. By letting it drain, it would rinse the rest of the sugars out.

What do y'all average of efficiency? Is 70 percent decent?

material list says og of 1.053. So they estimate efficiency of 70percent? Figured it would be arount 75ish. Dunno, of well. Thanks guys.

Just made an all grain Chinook IPA. My OG was supposed to be 1.053, I got 1.054. Tried to check my efficiency on said it was only 66percent. doestn't seem right to me. What yall think? :mug:
