Which creates a stronger "traditional Licorice" flavor? I am doing a root beer for my kids; we did this recipe already https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=210057 and I loved it but the licorice flavor was a bit too much for my daughter. I want to do the same again (as I still have...
Originally from Beverage Factory; works great, I just upgraded to a double output setup and need to clear space on my shelves. The shut-off valve that it originall came with is bad, so it has none currently; you'll need whatever form of output connection you want to use for it.

Looking to sell a SS drip tray, no drain; I believe it is from beverage factory but I am not positive (purchased it used myself)
It is in perfect shape; I cleaned it but don't use it as it is too large for what I need. Size is 19.25 inches by 4 inches.
Looking to get $40 for it, negotiable.
Thanks for the info; any advice on which molasses to avoid? Yooper, I like your idea but I was unable to find any Malto for the moment. I may try that in the second batch to compare them, thanks!
I only plan on using like 1/2 cup in 5 gallons to aid in head retention; I'm really not looking...
Quick question on this recipe if anyone can answer: I want to try this; but I would like to add some molasses to improve head retention (as is discussed in the thread on the soda sub-forum). How should I go about substituting this, for some sugar perhaps?
OK thanks guys (and gals) so is it worth it to simply brew the extract recipe alone then? I'd probably go with Gnome or McCormicks if I can get that one here (I know I can get Gnome).
I saw the thread about adding molasses to enhance the foaming; is that recommended too?
As an example; I was looking at this in the recipe section and it seems pretty straight-forward:

I think we can handle something like that; but are there better recipes out there?
Thanks!
I've been homebrewing ale for about 2 years now and have moved on to kegging; but I promised my daughter I would do a root beer for her and her brother. I want to do 5 gallons of root beer in akeg and force carbonate.
I've looked at several threads on here already with lots of recipes; but...
Do it man, you'll love it! I made the switch a couple months ago and couldn't be happier, I'm already looking to expand my setup, currently I have 2 tap and I'm thinking of going to 3 or 4 :D
I've moved to kegging recently, and now have about 7-8 cases of bottles free to whoever would like them. I live in Southern Maryland, but work in Rosslyn VA so I can meet you anywhere in the DC area if you'd like them.
Most bottles are washed and de-labeled, some are just rinsed well and...
