I have 4 used swiss flow SF800 flow meters. I used them for about 2 years with raspberrypints and then my kegerator died. I moved to a much smaller setup due to not homebrewing very much anymore and cleaned them and put them away in a cabinet. They've been sitting for about 2 yrs in a ziplock...
Well I found the issue. I bought some robo-dyn Wemos D1 pro minis off amazon and there's something fishy about them. When I had esptool.py detect the amount of flash it came back with 2mb. So when I altered the platformio.ini to use 2mb as the flash size it worked fine. So either these...
I'm sure it's just something I'm overlooking, but to get the AP brewpiless to even come up I have to use the esp8266 flasher and change the flash size in the advanced settings to 16MB. If I leave it at the default I get an AP with esp at the beginning and some random numbers. Then after I...
I've looked and searched the internet and can't find an answer to my question. I'm trying to run brewpiless on a Wemos D1 pro mini 16MB and cant get it to work when compiling or uploading the bin. The bin works somewhat when uploading using 16MB as the advanced option, but gives errors on...
Not sure how it'll work out for homebrewing, but I'm backing it for all the other great stuff it looks like it'll do. I wonder if it would work to analyze AA of hops that have been stored, if so it'd be more accurate than a hop storage calc.
So maybe this is paranoia, but I made some lids for my converted sanke fermenters. Saving some money on fittings I just soldered brass compression fittings and a brass barbed fitting into a stainless pot lid. So I know that brass and copper shouldn't come into contact with beer due to the ph...
I believe I've read all the posts in this thread and haven't seen a answer to my problem. I built a brewpi about a month ago, using all the components in this thread. Everything works flawlessly, with the exception of the WiFi dongle. It's a edimax and the issue is upon reboot it isn't coming...
Something I've done in the past is dry hop in the keg (nylon paint strainer and unwaxed dental floss bag). Let it sit for about 7 days at room temp. Then chill and force carb. It really seems to be the best of both worlds. Nice hoppiness that lasts for months and doesn't get really grassy...
