    Sounds like you got an acetobacter infection at least in that bottle....the other ones might still be good.

    A question to those who don't like Fuggles.

    Fuggles has it's place in English beers. I'm half mexican so I grew used to cilantro since my mom put it in everything, even though I'm one of those people that it tastes soapy to. I very rarely cook with it myself but when I do I just put a tiny amount since it tastes so strong to me.

    W T F Looks a bit too...organized...for comfort. Send off to a lab for analysis, I think you just captured an alien microorganism. Looks like a combination of the inside of an orange and an animal's intestines.

    I made an american strong ale and let some girl taste it, she like it and SWORE she tasted raspberries in it (it didn't have any fruit).

    I do direct fire and it works fine, and seems to give better flavor but you have to keep the grain moving.

    I'm usually picky about who I share my beer with, so I can avoid these types of situations. The one time I did share my beer with neighbors they said "that's good beer man, it got me ****ed up!"

    Sorry but I find this rather funny; even the yeasts in Japan are clean and efficient.

    Yeah, boil and hop the wort, and leave it out with cheese cloth. Time seems to really depend. Took me 2 weeks to get anything but just takes a couple of days for others.
