Full 5 gallon before bottling. Pretty sure it was done fermenting (3 weeks in primary with a FG of 1.014 two days running). Several calculators show that for the proper carb volume, 5 oz. is too much. How do you vent the bottles without losing the seal altogether? Thanks, Rick

Thinking about brewing a Brewers Best Smoked Porter but I'd like to make it a vanilla. I've read that you can add vanilla extract along with the priming sugar at bottling. Any suggestions on how much? We're big fans of the Breckenridge Vanilla Porter. Thanks, Rick
