    splash proofing walls

Cover the area you want to waterproof with FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Paneling) and caulk the seams, cover with plastic trim, and voila, waterproof wall. That's the way a lot of bars do it. If you want to get away from drywall, you can always use Wonderboard.

    Top Tier Indoors ?

The burners we use put out a lot more BTUs than your stove, hence a lot more oxygen getting used up and producing a lot more Carbon Monoxide. Without proper exhaust and a very good fresh air source, you will deplete the oxygen in the area of the burner, then it's sleepy time. It's possible to...

    Anyone use this brew pot?

I recently upgraded to this one from williams brewing when I tried a full boil in a 7 gallon pot, and failed. Definitely worth the money http://www.williamsbrewing.com/BREWER_S_EDGE_40_QUART_BREWKET_P2366C50.cfm One more gallon, plus the valve comes with it.

    Climbing Gravity ?????

I spun and even bounced it a few times because I noticed a lot of tiny bubbles rising up, I'm assuming CO2, I only let it set a few minutes though, so I probably should have let it go for a while and checked. Don't think the hydrometer is bad because I haven't had this happen before, but I'll...

    Climbing Gravity ?????

Okay, this is a little strange. I brewed an Irish Red Ale on Nov. 16th and my OG was 1.065, a little higher than the estimate on brewsmith. After a week, I checked the gravity and it was at 1.016, I was going to rack to secondary that day, but figured what the hell, I'll give the whole...

    Bottling and the Oxygen Problem

Okay, I've been reading Yeast: The Practical Guide to Beer Fermentation, I'm about halfway through it, should've been done long ago, but I have the attention span of a fruit fly, and seeing as how I'm bottling tomorrow, I started thinking about something I read about oxygen requirements and...

    oxiclean question

I left a carboy sitting for a couple of days soaking thinking it was no big deal. I was busy and couldn't get to it the next day. Well, after much rinsing, there was a cloudy haze left that wouldn't even brush off. Couldn't think of what to do, asked a friend and he suggested CLR. I made a...

Has anybody used this keg cleaner?

CornyKeg.com recommends not using an alkaline based cleaner because of the anodization on the ball locks, have you had any problems with this?

    Beer gas question

I work at a resort and we use Beer Gas to push everything. We have a couple of bars just have BMC on tap and one bar that has all sorts - Chimay, a couple of different stouts, IPAs, Seasonal Brews, they all come out fine. Granted, not all are exactly carbed to style, but they still taste good.

    Showering with your Kegs?

I came across this thread a while back. I have one lid set up for Carboys and another lid set up for corny kegs. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f11/keg-carboy-washer-158415/

    Best & Worst Brewpubs

Best - Steamworks Brewpub - Durango, CO - Great Beer, Great food! The Cajun Boil is the most out of place thing to find in Southwest Colorado, but awesome nonetheless. Worst - There used to be a brewpub in the Monte Carlo Casino in Vegas, forgot what it was called, but I think the...

    My first recipe

Thanks for bursting my bubble Bob. But seriously, I appreciate the detailed reply and the advice. Especially pointing out the AA% of the hops I'm using. I get all of my ingredients from Austin Homebrew and their Northern Brewer Hops are listed at 10.4%, so yeah, that would've been rough. I'm...
