Advice: Classic Liquors Coconut Rum (not clearing)

Well, the fridge cleared it in a couple of days. Followed the rest of the instructions and... it's ok.. Probably wouldn't try this particular kit again though, the flavour is quite synthetic, not even the standard of budget coconut rums in the shop. Obviously it's made using a different process...

Advice: Classic Liquors Coconut Rum (not clearing)

Thanks for the reply. My homebrew shop say they really enjoyed theirs so I will report back. They also mentioned that they and many other people have experienced it taking a much longer period of time to clear than is stated. I decided to put it in the fridge and it has pretty much cleared...

Advice: Classic Liquors Coconut Rum (not clearing)

Hi, I need some advice please! I'm using a Classic Liquors Coconut Rum Kit (http://www.classicliquors.com). Most of the process has gone quite nicely. In the last few days - after a couple of days of adding charcoal - I have got to the stage of adding the sorbate and then finings and am...

    Hello!

Hi, I've already made a couple of beginner's posts on here in the last couple of months and only just realised the introductions part was here! I have to admit, I have only made 2 batches of lager and 1 of pear cider, all from kits.. They all say add sugar to the bottles but don't say in which order.. Doesn't sediment get disturbed by adding sugar to the FV and mixing?

Priming Sugar Before or After Filling Bottles?

Hi, What's the best technique for putting priming sugar in bottles? Do YOU put sugar in before filling the bottle or after putting your brew in? Why do you do it in that order? Is it different for what you're brewing? Wondered what people think as I'm fairly new to brewing at home...

    Alternatives to thief/turkey baster?

I've been around four shops today and can't find a turkey baster anywhere. So, any ideas on what I can use to take a sample out in a responsible fashion? (This is my first brewing experience) Thank you!

NEWBIE: Do I need brewing sugar for bottling?

Hi, I'm completely new to home brewing. Have my first ever FV on the go now with a Young's Lager pack bubbling away. One of my questions is, when bottling up, I'm meant to put sugar in.. Does it have to be brewing sugar or can it be a granulated sugar? Would it still be BETTER with brewing...
