I did the Anniversary Pale Ale and dry hopped it with falconers flight and found it to be one of my favorite beers to date. AHS is my LHBS so I get all my stuff from them. Don't think you can really go wrong with their kits.
You could also dry hop with the falconers flight. I just did an ounce for one week on my pale ale and it smelled amazing. I also added some orange peel to that one so it's kinda like a pale ale version of your recipe. Love a good citrusy beer for the summer.
I live in Austin so I am somewhat biased towards Austin Homebrew, but they really do have great kits and tons to choose from.
As for a summer beer, may I suggest the AHS 20th anniversary pale ale. It's quite delicious, I tweaked mine a bit by adding some orange zest and dry hopping with...
I used peaches last year in a kolsch and it was a bit sour. After sitting for about 6 months it became really tart and full of peaches, so it is possible that it is just the peaches giving a sour flavor. Did you do anything to sanitize them or did you throw them strait into secondary? Also how...
I've seen some people on here used sanitized bottles of ice. A more expensive route is a pre-chiller that runs the water through ice before going through the immersion chiller.
Having a brew day/bottle day/beer tasting party. I am brewing up [Emma]rillo Wheat in honor of my niece Emma (at least that is the guessed name since my Brother isnt' revealing the name until she is born) who is being born sometime in June. I grew up in Amarillo, TX so it was too easy to take...
Birdboylee...I like the idea and think the outline of the bird flowing into the mug is clever, but, there is a lot going on and that makes it hard for my eyes to focus on the logo as a whole.
Brewing a Wheat recipe to celebrate my Niece who is being born in June, bottling my Pale Ale and probably have a beer tasting after all is said and done. Should be a good day.
Glad to have another Austinite brewing. The Carboys and Zealots are both great clubs, if you are up north there is the Round Rock Homebrewing Guild as well: www.floccu.com
Sounds like your first beer is cooking away!
I'd throw Austin in the mix. We aren't number one yet but we are booming as far as number of new breweries. Hopefully their beers will start making it out to the coasts soon so you guys can taste some of the goodness being brewed here in Texas.
