    First infected beer

I’ve actually been brewing since college, so that’s close to 25 years, but I’m still learning. I’ll point out I’m color blind. I noticed this brew has more of a “white” hue in the top. Just looked odd to me. I still think it’s fermenting. I still have not reached fg.

    3-Vessel vs Single-Vessel Electric opinions

I recently switched to a 3v electric setup from your typical all grain setup using a propane burner and cooler mash tun. My brew days typically lasted 4-5 hours. I really had no complaints. My first brew day on my electric system was painful. The day lasted almost 7 hours and my efficiency took...

    First infected beer

Thanks for the replies. I think it’s hops residue as you guys pointed out. I really dry hopped it this time. This is something I don’t typically do much if. Anway, I’ll get that FG tonight. Thanks again.

I have not done a gravity reading yet. I’m going to check it now.

    First infected beer

It smells like a nice, fruity hoppy beer. The white specks are throwing me off. It’s been almost 4 weeks. I’m not sure what to do.

    First infected beer

I’m on a run of not having an infected beer for over 10 years. I brewed for the first time on my new herms setup and found this when I went to keg my beer today. I did dry hop the beer, but think the beer is in the beginning of infection. Am I wrong?

    Another Electric Panel Build

FINALLY, SUCCESS!!! So here is what I did. I removed the hot lines going into the contactor while it was hard wired from the hot and neutral terminals. I turned it on. It buzzed for a second and then clicked. I then unplugged it, wired my switch again and BAM, it worked! Turns out I had...

    Another Electric Panel Build

I wonder if I'm getting 220v from my main 100a sub panel. I had an 100a sub panel installed in my garage and have 30 amp gfci breaker and outlet installed for my brew panel. I had an electrical install the panel and outlet so and I'm fairly certain these items are installed correctly. I have...

    Another Electric Panel Build

From my understanding I have a 110v coil. 32 amps is what I understand the contactor(relay) to be rated at. I thought I could describe is as a 32a 110v coil, but I now know that's not how you describe a contactor and a coil. I guess I am missing something in my design if I'm not showing a...

    Another Electric Panel Build

I just jumped the contactor directly from the hot and neutral terminals and had the same buzzing issue. This is becoming a bit frustrating.

    Another Electric Panel Build

    39) I have the 32a 110v coil and from the description and it should be AC current. I'm running 10 gauge for Leg 1 and Leg 2. The Red wire in the contactor comes directly from the main power switch and the Black wire comes from the main hot terminal. My initial drawing has changed a bit, so we...

    Another Electric Panel Build

I updated my voltmeter wiring based on your feedback. This wiring makes sense now. I was a little confused with the instruction diagram. I checked all my connections again and still cannot get power after the contactor. The PID and the 120 outlet work correctly. When flip on the element switch...
