    Put a blackboard on your keg!

    At the restaurant I work at, we use wet erase markers (you can get them at most office/craft stores) to write on the calkboards. It stays put all through service, even with handling and humidity, and it wipes off clean with a wet rag... just a thought...

    My apologies for forgetting the Alchemist (what was I thinking????), and since we're mentioning other areas, I'll include the Shed in Waterbury, right outside of Stowe, which is an awesome place with great food and great beer, and the Bobcat Cafe in Bristol, which, unfortunately, not many people...

    If you could only brew with ingredients found at the supermarket, what would you use?

    A lot of grocers sell bulk grains. As long as you could find raw grains (oftentimes, buckwheat or kashi can be found raw, esp. in heath food stores) they can be germinated at home; see this article for how. From there, you can roast said grains to your desired toastiness, and mash as usual...

    Burlington, Vt is a qauint little town, with a pretty decent beer scene. We have 3 brewpubs worth visiting in the immediate area. The first being the VT Pub and Brewery, on St. Paul & College St., owned and operated by Greg Noonan, of various brewing fame. Great beer, great atmosphere...
