This beer has won a gold metal in more than one competition so can't be THAT much out of the style guidelines. I didn't find it too sweet at all.

All are waaayyyyy too sweet. The imperial stout is not quite as sweet as the double bock but close. I've had all and wouldn't recommend any.

managed to buy 3 which was all the local store had. It didn't feel very well balanced to me. The SH Harvest was excellent but this didn't strike me as well. Perhaps it was just an off day. I still have 2 bottles left and will give another go at it over the weekend.

Pretty sure this brew does not use any hops. I believe hops weren't used in beer until after medieval times. This is supposed to be an exact recreation of what was discovered and analyzed in old ceramic pots.

Smuttynose makes a pumpkin beer that everyone seems to be in love with and is made with real pumpkin pulp. BTW, steer clear of Shipyard if you arent in love with nutmeg. Its a real nutmeg bomb.
