    Sam Adams Irish Red

This beer has won a gold metal in more than one competition so can't be THAT much out of the style guidelines. I didn't find it too sweet at all.

    Sam Adam's Imperial Series...

All are waaayyyyy too sweet. The imperial stout is not quite as sweet as the double bock but close. I've had all and wouldn't recommend any.

    Samuel Adams Imperial Series :)

I've been a staunch defender of SA and they have been my favorite all around brewery....well until this past weekend. I'm appalled. Double Bock has been my favorite SA offering for quite some time now. I literally count the days every year until the release date. Unaware of the imperial...

    Sam Adams Chocolate Bock

It didnt disappoint but wasnt mindblowing either. At $17 a bottle, pricey. I think I'd buy it again as its one of those few beers that goes great with dessert.

    Sam Adams Winter Lager(Obnoxious relatives)

Its becoming the "in" thing now for some craft beer people to start bashing Sam Adams products. None of their beers are dumpable...not even close. For a beer to be dumbable it has to be downright offensive and I've only run across that once or twice in my life. Most recently was a bottle of...

    Sam Adams Imperial Pilsner

I nearly fudged my undies when I found 4 - 4 packs of Sam Adams Imperial Pilsner at my local gas station convenience store of all places. I didn't even realize that they released it this year. I ended up walking out with 2 and may go back for the other 2. What a creation! Nothing but Hallertau...

Sam Adams '08: Blackberry Witbier, McDole's Double IPA and MORE!!!!

Open letter to Boston Beer Company (just venting..doubt any big brewers read this forum) Dear Boston Beer Company AKA Sam Adams, I was much disappointed when I heard of the 2 choices for next years new beer. I thought neither choice was original as both are just variations of styles you...

Sierra Nevada Harvest Wet Hop Ale

managed to buy 3 which was all the local store had. It didn't feel very well balanced to me. The SH Harvest was excellent but this didn't strike me as well. Perhaps it was just an off day. I still have 2 bottles left and will give another go at it over the weekend.

Budweiser American Ale - with Taste notes

I'm on my 4th six pack right now of this stuff. As I drink more, I like it more. Perhaps its because I've been away from the hop bombs for a while. Taste buds tend to dull out when continually slammed with IPAs, double IPAs, etc. Since you drink DFH that would explain why you are not into this...

    Spaten Oktoberfest

Geez. I hate to be the one negative voice in the bunch but we got a six of this last time around. No one and I mean no one would touch the stuff. We passed a glass around for people to taste from the first bottle and we literally couldn't give the stuff away after that. It just hit me wrong in...

    McKBrew Drinks Beer

Pretty sure this brew does not use any hops. I believe hops weren't used in beer until after medieval times. This is supposed to be an exact recreation of what was discovered and analyzed in old ceramic pots.

Budweiser American Ale - with Taste notes

It arrived at the liquor store today. The owner happened to be standing in the beer area and I remarked how I was skeptical. Well, he steps out back and whips out a cold bottle and gives it to me as a freebee. Nice guy!! I got it home and poured it into my Sam Adams glass. All new beers get...

    Longhammer IPA

Actually, it was one of the first commerical IPAs widely available and I imagine was pretty extreme back then. For it to be considered a "poor example" of style is ironic as it was pretty much a pioneer. That being said, it was the first IPA I ever tried and was the beer that had a larger...

Which commercial pumpkin beers actually contain pumpkin?

Smuttynose makes a pumpkin beer that everyone seems to be in love with and is made with real pumpkin pulp. BTW, steer clear of Shipyard if you arent in love with nutmeg. Its a real nutmeg bomb.
