Question on adding yeast at bottling

I plan on bottling a barleywine that I have bulk aged for the last 16 months. The OG was 1.080 and FG is 1.010. I have a vial of White Labs 001 that I am thinking of adding either a day before bottling or day of when I add the priming sugar. Looking for some advice or opinions if adding...

    Beer in San Diego

I'll second Pizza Port. If you can get in on the new tours they do at White Labs I highly recommend it. They have a new pour room/bar where they have taken several batches of wort then fermented with different strains of yeast. Very eye opening. Have a great time, San Diego is becoming a beer Mecca.

Karbach has started off strong. Their IIPA Rodeo Clown and new seasonal Yule Shoot Your Eye Out are fantastic.

    First Barley Wine

Started the weekend early. Taking advantage of some cool Houston weather and brewing my first barleywine. Everything has gone smoothly, however, bees seem to love my brew kettle. The aroma coming off has attracted at least a dozen bees. Good to know for the spring garden. Cheers!

The pipeline should start to fill up come...

Double Chocolate Stout Another Stuck Fermentation!

I just racked this recipe (mini-mash) version to my secondary on top of two vanilla beans that I split and soaked in vodka. After three weeks in the primary my FG leveled out at 1.018. I'm planning on bottling in about a week. Hit the projected OG and had pretty consistent temps during my mash...
